Below is a photo of my 4 Model Motoring T-Jets. These 4 represent 1 of each of the four body styles currently available.
Culvert Bridge, T-Intersection & 4 Model Motoring Repros!
From left to right: '67 Chevelle SS, '67 Camaro SS, Willys Coupe, & '70 Chevelle.
Original Layout on the floor before I built the table.Original Turns Section
Above is the first version of the Munno International Speedway. The track is approximately 5'.6" wide by 11' long. This is the first version of the turns section, chicanes, but no S turns.
Overview of the layout, pre-Sturns and pre-lane stripes.
Turn 1, sweeping wide turn, covers app. 3.5 feet.
Above is a shot of the entire layout before I added the lane stripes, s-curves and relocated one of the driver stations. Above is Turn 1 and a view of my AFX cars. Notice the lane stripes added to the track, quite helpful when reslotting!
Turns section of the layout, not too many turns, but enough to make it interesting. .Graveyard Image!
Above is the rest of the turns in the layout. Lane striping also coincides with the TRAKMATE software setup Above is the chicanes of death, the keeper of the chicanes and the graveyard. The chicanes have been since removed from the layout, but the graveyard remains as a memorial to this challenging section.
My AFX Collection.
A view of the 11 foot section of the layout.
Above is another view of my AFX collection. (Though my mint cars are not in this shot.) Above is another view of the layout, some long straights and some good curves....fun racing! Race starts in the middle of the long straight on the left and goes away from this vantage point towards the computer monitor and the large sweeping turn 1.
Ruler shot of HO vs 1/64th scale cars.
Top shot of HO vs 1/64th scale cars.
The above 2 shots are of an AFX car (the orange Javelin) and a Herpa HO model car. (Yellow '69 Mustang) The AFX car is 1/64th scale, true HO scale is 1/87th scale which is exemplified with the Mustang. Many people are misnomer the Slot Cars and call it HO racing, but it's really 1/64th scale racing. I'd love to see high detailed 1/87th cars that run like tjets, but making a solid easy to work on chassis that small would be quite challenging. As it is, most people seem to prefer the 1/32nd or 1/24th scale cars because of how much easier they are then the 1/64th scale cars to work on...
Aurora Finish Pylon. My race placing cars.
Original Aurora Finish Pylon, hand painted by me. I'll try to get a clearer photo of this up soon. I also haven't finished it, the Flag is supposed to be a checkered flag and I want to do more detailing. Above are my 2 winning tjets. I race tjets and afx magnatraction at Nostalgia Hobbies, considering I've only been racing competitively for about 9 months, and I've only been in about 1 race per month. I'm very happy to have placed third (white ribbon) and second (red ribbon). I'm having a ton of fun racing!
Below are new photos added 01/25/01
Some photos of the electrical work, above the outlet I added.

Above is anaerial view of the S-turns section.
Below is a good shot of the new barriers, painted lane colors.
Below is a view of the cardboard shim to raise the cork slide out area.
Above is the new corking on top of the cardboard shim, aligns great with the track!
Above is an aerial view of the redone corking. Showing off my new red and white striping. (hand painted)
Below is a picture of my Model Motoring replica of Aurora curved bleachers, I painted them to look as much like real wood as possible and added paper flags to the staffs, the spectators have been glued to their seats. The stands themselves have been relocated so as to provide the fans with a better view of the track.
